Teaching competencies are essential for effective instruction. There are five key competencies that are required to excel in this area. Throughout this section, we will focus on developing and enhancing these competencies.

Competency 1: Educational Technology Foundations 

The first part of this competency focuses on educational technology and learning environments.

I used my knowledge and experience in online learning, face-to-face learning, and blended learning. I analyzed the pros and cons of each type of learning, and I presented my findings using a comparison table created with iPages.

Using iPages allows me to showcase my skills in educational technology by visually organizing information and presenting it clearly and concisely. The tool offers various formatting and design options to enhance the table's visual appeal and functionality, resulting in a professional-looking document that effectively communicates my message.

Through my analysis, I discovered that each type of learning has its own strengths and weaknesses. The most effective approach depends on individual preferences, learning styles, and goals. Classroom learning provides immediate feedback and interpersonal interaction but lacks flexibility. Online learning offers convenience and flexibility but requires self-discipline. Blended learning combines the benefits of both approaches but requires careful planning and implementation for maximum effectiveness. Ultimately, the ideal learning method may involve a combination of these approaches tailored to the specific needs of the learner.
